Khon Kaen Alcohol Company Limited. Establish in early 2004, the company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Khon Kaen Sugar Industry Public Company Limited engaged in the business of producing alcohol from molasses, sugarcane juice etc. The company has a license from the Ministry of Industry to produce 150,000 litres per day of ethanol for sale to domestic oil companies, who blend it with gasoline at 10% to produce "Gasohol" - a present day alternative fuel for vehicles. The company also export ethanol to other countries.

ISO 9001: 2000 at Khon Kaen Alcohol Factory

Khon Kaen Alcohol Co., Ltd. has established a world class quality management system. On 7 February 2007 SGS (Thailand) co., Ltd. awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certificate to the company.

ISO 9001:2000 is a world class quality management standard. The objective of this standard is to establish procedures and processes in the operations that result in increased effectiveness which offers customers the confidence that the products / services have passed through strict control steps. It also ensures compliance with legal requirements and reduces costs over the long term.

Bio-fertilizer Production Process

One fertilizer production cycle takes 45 days.

1 – 5 days	The filter cake is sun dried to reduce moisture content.
6 – 35 days	Microbes and its nutrients are added while maintaining moisture content in the 50-60% range by spraying spent wash.
	Temperature is controlled at appropriate levels by constant rotation and mixing of the fertilizer. A homogenizer makes the mixture uniform in properties.
36 – 45 days	Conditions are maintained for culture growth.
	Moisture content is reduced to below 30%.
